Camping seems to be the common denominater in all outdoor sports. A safe and comfortable haven after a day of hiking, a place where one can prepare a meal and a protected place to sleep and hide from bad weather. This is often the place where a love for the outdoors is created and kindled to change our lives for the good. No wonder that even the passive outdoor person loves his camping whether it be in a small tent, in one of the modern caravans or in a durable Safari canvas tent.
South Africa, as most of the neighbouring countries, have the most beautiful campsites at reasonable tariffs. It is only during school holidays that one has to book in advance. Otherwise, touring South Africa, camping as you go, is only a pleasure which foreign visitors seem to make good use of.
